School Story:
I was always an average student. I got into track and field and later, cross country. School and those sports kept me very busy. After graduation I got a teaching degree from Northern Arizona University. After graduation from NAU I came back to California and tried to find a job in teaching. Unfortunately, the Orange County school districts were looking for women who spoke Spanish. I struck out on both counts. I got a job with Borg Warner in their local personal finance office. I was later transferred to Illinois to work in their vehicle fleet leasing company. I bounced around in several very large fleet leasing companies for 40 years. We were transferred to Illinois and Houston and back to So Cal. My last job was in the used vehicle, construction equipment, and commercial equipment auction.
I am also a collector of American Indian Wars militaria and photographs. I am an officer in the Company of Military Historians, the Southwest Chapter of the Company of Military Historians, and a fellow of the company.
