Great time with the band and as drum major. Looking back, the education was great too. I'll never forget the band's trip to San Gorgonio for a parade. Thanks to our band leader, Earl Sherburn, we were different than the LA bands that walked instead of marching. We killed it with "Josuha" and the crowd loved it. People were telling us how good we were, we were the best band and expected to do well with the judging. However, we were disqualified for "dancing". For me, that will alway be a badge of honor.

I was also proud to be a part of the "Integration Generation" club with Amy Licwinko, Tom Martin, Mary Davis, Cynthia Scott, Joleigh Sakraida, Bill Cox and others. You all were right! How cool is that!

Graduated from Merritt College, Oakland CA and St. Mary's College of California, Moraga,B.A. in Health Care Administration. Most of my career in healthcare has was spent with the State of CA, Department of Health Care Services in Sacramento, later moved to the Bay Area as administrator for North American Medical Management and FPA Medical Management before being recruited by my current employer Community Health Group, in the San Diego area. Wife Anise is a word renowned musical theater actress and vocalist. Two beautiful daughters and two sons!
