Additional Event Details

Our BHS Class of 1970 Emerald 55th Reunion registration consists of three primary events, Fri.-Sun, Oct 24-26, 2025. Other activities are being organized and will be posted on our website for sign-up, so keep checking back.  Get in on all the fun!

Friday Night Mixin' and Music at The Patriot Bar and Grill

117 E. Ridgecrest Blvd., Ridgecrest (Once the site of "Tommy T's")  5:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Come enjoy a fun, casual evening with special friends, yummy food and great music!  The party will be closed, just for class of 1970 members, friends and family; we would like to keep attendees to BHS alumni as much as possible.  There is no entry fee, but we are requiring "pre-registration", meaning you specify who your guests are. (When registering for this activity, enter the number in your party, then enter names in the appropriate follow-up question.) There is a maximum capacity for the private room; sign-ups will be cut off when that is reached. So be sure to register right away.

The Patriot is known to locals for good food and plentiful servings. The menu for dining in the private area will be limited to a handful of the most popular items, which will be provided to registered classmates closer to the event date. We recommend coming early and eating in the back room so you will have a great seat for the rest of the evening's program, but you may also dine elsewhere before arriving or sit in the main restaurant and bar area to order from the full menu selection.

Entry to the private room will begin at 5:00 pm.   Use the separate entry to the private room at the northeast corner of the facility, the side facing Ridgecrest Blvd. (there will be signage) and check in. There is limited parking on the west side of the restaurant, along the street in back, and more to the east in the parking lot behind the medical offices.  We recommend arriving and eating early.  Live music will begin at 7:00 pm., by our very own Reunion Band featuring Steve Roberts, Paul Hupka, Norm Dravis, Steve Parker and Gene Warren (maybe some others too!)  Several sets of music and program will last until 10:00, visiting until 11:00.

Saturday Night Emerald 55th Reunion at The Clarion Inn

901 N China Lake Blvd., Ridgecrest  (In the banquet room) 5:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Do not miss our "Emerald Extravaganza" full of chances to reminisce and refresh your memory, visit with old friends and make some new ones, hear/sing favorite oldies but goodies by our Reunion Band and friends, kick up your heels (carefully of course) and scoot your boots! Maybe even come away with a little extra cash if you are good at trivia or lucky with raffles. Like to dress up a little? Go for it!  Don't like to dress up at all - that's okay too. Professional photographer on hand. Enjoy a yummy Italian Buffet - "buono!" - and a custom cookie designed and baked just for our 55th reunion.  There will be laughter (and probably some tears), chances to mix and catch up, and even learn something new.  Do not miss this very special evening and quite likely the last time the Sherman E Burroughs Class of 1970 comes together exclusively.  It will be a night to remember!

5:00 pm: Set up for the Group Photo will start.  No host bar open.

5:30 pm: The Class of '70 Emerald 55th Reunion Group Photo - DO NOT BE LATE!

Sunday Morning Breakfast at The Clarion Inn

901 N China Lake Blvd., Ridgecrest  (In Charlie's Lounge) 8:00 am – 12 noon

This gathering is a Class of '70 reunion tradition!  Grab a quick bite and some final hugs for the road, or sit and relax the entire morning in the warm, comfy Charlie's lounge area adjacent to the onsite cafe for more chances to catch up, share photos and memories, and enjoy the special pre-order buffet or your choice of breakfast from the Roxanne's Cafe menu.  Classmates who are guests of the hotel may want to use their complimentary breakfast privileges.

The cafe is open at 6:00 am to hotel guests who do have to leave early.  The reunion event in the lounge will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until 12 noon. Registration for this event indicates "free" because there are several options for purchasing breakfast and the purpose of the registration is to get an estimation of how many classmates will be gathering at Charlie's.  Those attending will be responsible for paying for their food.  Options are:

♦  Serving themselves from the Class of '70 special buffet set up in Charlie's.  This requires online registration and payment of $16 per person.   Buffet will offer scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home potatoes, waffles, pastries, fresh fruit, OJ and coffee.

♦ Purchasing their own food from Roxanne's Cafe and bringing it to the adjacent lounge.

♦ Using the complimentary breakfast chit if they qualified for one at the time of hotel check-in.  This is used in Roxanne’s Café.  Food can then be brought to the lounge adjacent to the café.

Though this traditionally appeals more to the ladies, all classmates are welcome. It is necessary to register and make payment before-hand as a deposit is required and seating is limited.  Ta!  Click the “Tea Luncheon Registration” link found in the left-hand menu of our class website page.

The shop and tea house are on the north side of Ridgecrest Blvd. and set back a bit.  There are just a couple parking spots to the west side.  Otherwise, park on the street or use the parking lot a little further west on the other side of Ashley's Furniture.  Be prompt for the 11:00 am seating.
